Who Got Cast -- On Apple TV+ 'Wool'?

Frisco's Own Avi Nash, Known Previously From 'The Walking Dead' And 'Barry'

Stay tuned! Frisco High School 2008 graduate Avi Nash was cast as character Lukas Kyle on "Wool," Apple’s future drama series based on the New York Times best-selling trilogy of dystopian novels by Hugh Howey. Avi will appear alongside popular cast members Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Robbins, Rashida Jones, David Oyelowo, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche and rapper/actor Common. Filming and 2022 production plans are secretive at the moment. 

Fans know Avi from him nailing memorable scenes as Siddiq in AMC's “The Walking Dead,” where he appeared for three seasons (2017–2020). He also was the lead character, Henry, in the film "Hosea" in 2017 and Saleem in "Barry" during 2016. He performed in seven stage productions between 2014-2015. During 2013, he was Wajeed on HBO's "Silicon Valley."

He's the son of Frisco residents Gowton and Manisha Achaibar.

While in high school, Avi was involved in National Honor Society, Key Club, Spanish Club, Raccoons Against Destructive Decisions, National Art Honor Society, soccer and track. He received various scholastic awards. He volunteered through a Hindu temple, Plano YMCA and organizations that assisted Frisco Family Services. He also participated in karate. 

Written by Graham Yost and directed by Academy Award nominee Morten Tyldum, "Wool" is a set in a ruined, toxic future where a community exists in a giant silo underground, 144 stories deep. There, men and women live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them.

The "Wool" novel opens with the tagline, "If the lies don't kill you, the truth will."
