As an artist and editorial photographer, Angela communicates human complexity in the confluence of the every day - for herself and in the portraiture she creates for others.
She spent eight years in forensic photography while also obtaining an MFA degree from Yale. Two of her proudest moments were invitations to exhibit at the Whitney Biennial in NYC and the Venice Biennale in Italy. This year she is exhibiting at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània in Barcelona and the Museum of Modern Art in Paris.
Currently, Angela is working on a series of portraits through a two-way mirror titled Reflections.
People are invited to her studio. Each person creates a short playlist that evokes emotion, connects to a personal memory, to help share an authentic moment of themselves. Angela shoots while the subject reflects upon their image in a mirror to capture an authentic moment of vulnerability.
