Jennifer West, Owner at Southern Aesthetics
“I have always known that caring for and helping people was going to be in my future since I was a little girl,” says Jennifer West, owner at Southern Aesthetics, a concierge beauty spa with locations in Franklin and Hendersonville.

Jennifer’s journey began after she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Western Kentucky University. She then went on to attend Vanderbilt University where she obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing in 2006. Jennifer is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who, during her nursing career, gained over 13 years of combined Intensive Care, Cardiology, Internal Medicine and Aesthetics
experience. She then made the decision to pursue her true passion by opening Southern Aesthetics, whose team of talented and experienced certified advanced nurse practitioners specialize in injectables, microneedling, hydrafacials, chemical peels, customized facials, and
medical-grade skin care.

Jennifer is a wife and mom to three little girls who she says are “her world.” She adds, “I feel so fortunate to have combined my love for beauty and medicine to offer our patients a comprehensive approach to anti-aging therapies.”

Laurie Killian, Owner at Cool Springs Fitness

Cool Springs Fitness (CSFIT) is an innovative health and fitness club in the heart of Franklin’s Cool Springs area, with plans to open later this fall. Owner Laurie Killian, former General Manager at Prairie Life Fitness, shares her journey to owning her own business. “The hardest
part was deciding to create CSFIT right before the pandemic and we have been in a holding pattern for just over a year. We could have said, ‘This just isn't the time for a gym,’ but we didn't.  We said, ‘There will be a time and we are willing to wait.’ ” Giving up wasn’t an option.”
She adds, “In creating CSFIT, I’m focused not only on proper equipment, classes, and personal training but also on skin, food, community, kids, and the relaxation time needed to be our optimal selves!”

Laurie, her childhood sweetheart and husband Tom, and their three sons have lived in the Franklin/Cool Springs area for over 20 years. Her advice to other women? “Surround yourself with knowledgeable, respected, honorable women who will lift you up, and you them.  Seek
women who will pray with and for you, who will spend the time to walk through the weeds with you. Create a team who will show up, always. You can do this, so don't give up!”

Kimberly Greenwell, TV Host and Owner, “My Southern Home with Kimberly Greenwell”

“If you would have told me 10 years ago I’d have a television show featuring homes, I would have said you were crazy,” says television host and producer Kimberly Greenwell. “This shows that no matter what happens in your life, you will end up right where you want to be if you have
faith and work hard.”

Kimberly’s first job after graduating from college was as an account executive at station WAVE 3-TV in Louisville. Several years later she started her own company KAG Media Consulting, where one of her first clients was the Building Industry of Greater Louisville. This opened the
door to her current career in 2017 when she began producing and hosting “My Southern Home with Kimberly Greenwell.” This Louisville-based show featuring local builders, remodelers and interior designers expanded to Nashville a year later. She is also executive producer of “Behind
the Build,” featuring Kentucky home builder Tracee Dore. You can tune in to “My Southern Home” Saturday at 10 a.m. on MYTV 30 in Nashville and Sunday at 10 a.m. on WBKI-CW 58 in Louisville. “Behind the Build” airs Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on WBKI-CW 58 in Louisville.

Says Kimberly, “Don’t let someone talk you out of something you really want to do, and most importantly don’t talk yourself out of it!”
