Wow-Factor Window Coverings

Secure Laser-Precise Treatments From Locally Operated Made In The Shade

Every home or business needs some kind of window treatment, but busy lifestyles and schedules often keep most everyone from being able to “shop around" for window coverings. "We offer the perfect solution," says Tony Rich, franchise owner of Made in the Shade Blinds & More Bucks County. "We bring the showroom to you with our quality window treatments and shop-at-home convenience."

Tony and his installers provide blinds, shades, shutters, outdoor patio shades, and even Smart Drape Shades. He says Smart Shades offer the best of both worlds by providing a sheer fabric option on one side to let in more sunlight with an opposing light-filtering privacy mode on the other side with just the turn of the wand.

He adds that these types of Smart Shades are excellent for patio sliding glass doors, and that people can walk right through them because they're still individual vanes and they're softer due to not being plastic.

"What's really becoming popular is our exterior patio shades. They can be motorized or manual, and are designed to cover spaces up to 25 feet wide. Homeowners just need a covered patio to work with," Tony explains.

He says the new patio screening shades repel insects while also decreasing the amount of UV rays and heat coming into the outdoor rooms, cooling the temperature inside the spaces by 15 to 20 degrees. "We also have an option with zippered channels to block wind speeds up to 25 mph. Our customers are placing heaters and TVs in these patios and using them year-round like a whole other room," he adds.

"When I arrive at free in-home consultations, I bring our sample selections of custom window treatments so customers can enjoy a personalized selection experience. That also enables them to match our samples to their decor," he states.

Not positive about a color? Tony suggests holding his samples next to targeted windows to see for sure. "Put samples on your floor. Compare them to your wall color. I'm happy to help everyone find the right match for every window."

This complimentary service allows customers in their own environments to avoid guessing, and to see exactly how light, room colors and furnishings affect their options and choices, Tony adds.

Tony also participates in a Realtor Partner program through which he serves as the preferred vendor for real estate companies, such as Newtown-headquartered Marcolla Realty.

With this being Tony's sixth year in the drapery and shades business, he says he feels really good about assisting others with overall home ambiance. "People have visions in their minds of how they want their window treatments to look, and I help them achieve that. It's great to design window coverings and exterior shades that help customers decorate their rooms into spaces they like to be in, and are ones they're really proud of."
