When you think of locally made gourmet food, wine, and gifts, one of the first places that likely comes to mind is Chandler’s very own d'Vine Gourmet.
A must-visit specialty store, d'Vine Gourmet features Arizona-made gourmet foods and drinks, including handmade candies, snacks, and locally produced wines. The shop also creates unique gift baskets for the holidays and every occasion imaginable.
A mainstay in Arizona since 2003, d'Vine Gourmet just moved to a new location at 72 S. San Marcos Place in the historic square of Downtown Chandler. It’s a move that helps to further cement the specialty shop’s place as a vibrant part of the growing local economy.
“Our Fulton Ranch location has closed for retail operations, and we have moved to fill a gorgeous spot in the historic square downtown,” explains owner Denise McCreery. “Chandler is leading the way in local tourism, and of course, we want to be a part of that.”
McCreery shares that the business is keeping its Fulton Ranch space to be its corporate kitchen and fulfillment center. All retail operations will take place at the new location.
At the new locale, d'Vine Gourmet features a candy kitchen, where visitors can watch savory caramels, truffles, and other candy delights being made from scratch. Of course, the new shop also showcases Arizona foods, ready-to-go gift baskets, and even a wine cellar.
“We carry our own line of wine jellies, mustards, spices, snacks, and sweets,” McCreery adds.
Since 2003, d’Vine Gourmet has been perhaps most famous for its wine jellies and other one-of-a-kind products.
“It [d'Vine Gourmet] was born from a love of food and wine, and a desire to share our culinary creations with others,” McCreery says. “As Arizonans, we also wanted to showcase the unique flavors of our great state in a refined, 'foodie'-friendly way.”
“The new location of d'Vine Gourmet is more than a shop,” she adds. “It’s a must-visit tourist destination that is all about Arizona. We know this is a big change and we're super excited. We could not have done this without our loyal friends, family, and customers who have supported us and our ‘shop small’ ideology for almost two decades. A lot has happened this past year, and nothing makes us more thankful than having them by our side as we continue to grow our little family business.”
The new downtown location also supports other local vendors and artists by featuring and selling their products. Featured art includes pieces by Bonnie’s Glass Art, and there’s a grab-and-go cooler showcasing dishes—including its popular quiche—by Chandler’s Cuisine & Wine Bistro.
The Downtown Chandler locale officially had a soft opening in late September, and held its official grand opening in mid-October. While things are still getting settled, McCreery has big plans.
“We have a sommelier here to help customers navigate the wines we sell, and we plan to do plenty of wine-tasting events and product sampling soon,” she explains.
An avid long-time member of the Chandler Chamber of Commerce and ICAN, McCreery shares that d'Vine Gourmet is growing, and she and her team have plans to be a part of the Chandler community for years to come.
“Downtown Chandler is a growing, dynamic, and beautiful area, and we are definitely here for the long haul,” she says. “We very much look forward to welcoming old customers and connecting with new ones at our new location.”
With the holiday season coming up, McCreery suggests that customers in the mood for all things local begin their shopping as soon as possible. For those interested in upcoming events, visit the shop’s website (DVineGourmet.com).
