The Signal Mountain Playhouse

The Signal Mountain Playhouse, the area’s only outdoor theater, proudly presents “The Wizard of Oz.” Performed by a veteran cast and production team, this family favorite show continues the Playhouse’s 53-year tradition of bringing the best of Broadway to the tri-state area. The Playhouse amphitheater is located at the corner of Rolling Way and James Boulevard and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for comfort. The show opens on July 11th with performances on July 12, 17-19, and 24-26, starting at 8PM. The box office opens each evening at 6pm and chairs may be placed after tickets are purchased. Tickets are $5 for children 12 and under and $15 for all others. The Playhouse accepts cash, checks, and Venmo.

Reflection Riding

Within 10 minutes of downtown Chattanooga, explorers can enjoy 300 acres of natural habitat. With a variety of educational programs and trails to traverse, visitors experience the great outdoors while learning about the animals and plant life that sustains the area. On-site programs include immersive nature-based experiences for individuals, families, and groups of all sizes, guided nature hikes, and wildlife education. The Native Plant Nursery allows visitors to browse and purchase native plants that benefit the local ecosystem. The campus also hosts the Wauhatchie Forest School and an annual Summer Camp for kids.

The Woodshop Listening Room

The best sounding little music venue in Chattanooga, The Woodshop, is an all-ages, intimate listening room with a neighborhood bar vibe. Nestled in historic St. Elmo, weekly programming like Jhett Black’s Tuesday Bluesday, Wednesday Jazz and Trivia, Thursday Southern Soul, and Forever Bluegrass Friday, showcases some of the region's best American roots music. With a cozy, and family-friendly beer garden, elevated cocktails, craft beers, mocktails and a delicious BBQ menu, The Woodshop is a must visit destination for the hungry listener. Nationally touring bands are often featured on Thursdays and Saturdays.

The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport

Looking to have an adventure out of town without the hassle of layovers and changing planes? Airlines flying out of the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport are continuing to expand direct flights to cities around the U.S. Travelers can now enjoy direct flights to Fort Lauderdale, Newark, Orlando, Dallas-Fort Worth, Charlotte, and Washington D.C. with the expectation of adding Chicago to the list this fall. The Line Up Off Battlefield: Music & Movies Series

The fun continues for the Line Up Off Battlefield Music & Movies series with exciting events on the first and third Friday nights of the month through August 19th. On July 5, families can extend Independence Day celebrations with Fireworks Fest that kicks off at 6:30pm. The remaining events include family-friendly entertainment starting with live music at 6:30pm, followed by a movie on the big screen at 9:00pm. Events are held at the Northwest Georgia Amphitheater. Admission is free. Food and crafts will also be available on-site.
