Procrastinate no more! Melissa Maddox at Vintage Southern Accents has introduced us to their Farmhouse Paint line; it truly makes the entire process a cinch. Perhaps the best part about redoing a project with this paint is there is no prep work or sealant needed.
1) Choose the Farmhouse Paint color and Farmhouse natural bristle brush of your choice.
2) Apply the Farmhouse Paint with your brush. “Most projects cover in one coat,” says Melissa.
3) Allow the paint to dry and cure. Voila! Your project is complete, and you have a new staple or statement piece to show off!
If you decide to distress, you can use a coarse or medium grit sanding block. If you're looking for a silky smooth patina finish, use a fine grit sanding sponge to lightly sand the entire surface.
No wax or topcoat is needed. Just sit back and enjoy the finished product for years to come!
