Nestled amongst the pines in Strawberry-Pine—which is just a 90-minute drive from the Valley—is The Strawberry Inn.

The Inn at the Strawberry Inn features eight different rooms, as well as an option for an adjoining room for families, while the Creek Cabin sleeps four and includes a large kitchen, laundry room, and hot tub. The Bunkhouse sleeps eight in four bunk-style queen-sized beds, and has a kitchen and hot tub, while the Guest House has room for 10 over its three bedrooms (there’s also a sleeper sofa). There are also 14 Tiny Cottage options available, as well as an Airstream Suite and Premium Airstream Suite.
The Inn and cabins operate much like a vacation rental, with all reservations and check-ins handled via online and email. A local property manager is available for guests as needed.
The unique variety of room and location options make this locale perfect for everyone from those looking for a romantic getaway to families on a road trip. Some rooms are also pet-friendly.
The property, which was remodeled and relaunched in 2016 by Amber and Carson Eilers, is a perfect spot from which to explore the nearby sights, including the scenic Mongollon Rim, the historic town of Strawberry, the Pine Lavender Farm, natural water springs, and Tonto Natural Bridge. There is also plenty of breathtaking hiking nearby, as well as numerous restaurants and local shopping options.
For those who enjoy just staying put, The Strawberry Inn’s summer season includes weekly weekend events on property, including Friday and Saturday evening movie nights below the stars and community fire pit events, morning yoga on Saturdays, and children's rock painting on Saturday mornings.
Windmill Coffee is an on-site locale, open each morning, which features Press Coffee, snacks, lattes, Italian sodas, tea, and more.
