If you’re looking for inspiration, there are several new books that are available at the Patrick Heath Public Library. Forever Young is a memoir that covers the life of actress Hayley Mills, and gives a glimpse into the world of Disney films from the 1960’s. The Doctors Blackwell by Janice P. Nimura is a biography of two pioneering sisters that were doctors in the middle of the nineteenth century. The Bright Side Running Club by Josie Lloyd is an inspirational novel about women with cancer, who form a running club to lift each other up. The paperback version of The Last Bookshop in London by Madeline Martin has just been released. This novel is set in London during the Blitz and revolves around a community bookstore where neighbors help each other through the ravages of war time. Austin author Sarah Bird is one of our favorites. Her new novel is Last Dance on the Starlight Pier and is set in Galveston during the 1930’s.
