New Restaurants Offer Exceptional Options

Nobu Scottsdale

Globally renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa opened the newest location of his internationally renowned Japanese restaurant, Nobu, as part of the Scottsdale Fashion Square luxury wing expansion.

The location is modern and minimal, yet warm and inviting, and includes a dining room, bar and lounge.

“Our menu is a journey from inception to present day,” says James Frazey, general manager. “We include dishes from the very first Nobu in downtown New York City with our Nobu Classic menu. As well as innovations that we’ve developed over the last 26 years with our Nobu Now menu. Beyond that, local chefs have the opportunity to create off-menu dishes specific to the local palate and ingredients.”

Zinqué

The  Los Angeles-based hot spot Zinqué recently opened at Scottsdale Fashion Square, offering options of fresh, light French fare, a globally-inspired cocktail and wine program, as well as craft coffee.

Menu highlights include freshly baked pastries for breakfast, salads to sandwiches and wholesome bowls for lunch, or steak frites and grilled whole branzino for dinner.

“At Zinqué, we create a simple yet exceptionally delicious menu that draws inspiration from Euro escapes found in Paris, the South of France, Italy and Spain,” says Emmanuel Dossetti, founder. “We only source the freshest and most top-of-the-line ingredients in every dish and beverage we produce, such as bread imported from the famous Poilâne Bakery in Paris and craft coffee from La Colombe in Philadelphia.”

Bamboo Sushi

“We’re trying to change the business of seafood and inspire change in the way people eat,” says Kristofor Lofgren, founder and CEO of Bamboo Sushi. “When it comes to sustainability, we can truly say that we walk the talk; from the food we serve to how we build our restaurants to the hospitality we offer our guests, you can see it in everything we do."

While rooted in the art of traditional Japanese sushi, the menu expands beyond classic dishes into signature rolls, vegetarian and vegan options, as well as Japanese-inspired small plates.

The restaurant, which opened at Biltmore Fashion Park, was the world’s first to know its carbon footprint down to the menu item. It has other locations outside of Arizona, and became the world’s first certified sustainable sushi restaurant in 2008.
