Last year, Coe and Magan Kunz set out to combine Magan’s passion for bringing people together and Coe’s passion for sharing the love of golf with others when they opened Fade It Golf & Social Club, a new sports entertainment facility.

“Golf is something that comes naturally to me. I’ve been in the golf business for about thirty years between instructing and playing and I enjoy sharing that knowledge with people who want to improve their game,” shared Coe. “When we built this new facility, we made it into more of a sports entertainment space with a bar to have cocktails, simulators, and other games where people can have parties, tournaments, leagues, corporate events, and birthday parties.”

The state-of-the-art golf simulators provide players of all skill sets with a seemingly endless number of courses to play as they work to improve their game, but the couple wanted to go a step further and provide the community with a gathering place to enjoy activities other than golf.

“I love bringing people together and our goal is to go beyond golf and bring something that the community can come in and have different events and activities,” added Magan. “We have pool tables, darts, boss toss, ping pong, and a kids’ corner where we have some younger kid toys activities. We also have an amazing patio for people to sit and enjoy. It’s just a great place to hang out.”

As natives of Arvada, Coe and Magan continually nurture a close connection with the community and intentionally create an atmosphere for residents to gather and build relationships. Since opening, Fade It has hosted chili cookoffs, watch parties for sporting events, wine tastings, a Christmas market, car shows, and nonprofit events. With eleven high-definition televisions, lots of seating, and all the fun activities, this year’s Super Bowl Party makes Fade It the place to be on Super Bowl Sunday! The future of the club includes developing in-house golf leagues, individual and corporate membership plans for simulator use, and more community events.

The couple also supports local growth and development through hosting food trucks for patrons to enjoy and opening the space for small business pop-ups. “We're a small business and we want to help promote other small businesses as well,” said Magan. “We very much believe in small businesses supporting each other and building each other up, so we like to collaborate with other small businesses.”

Another way Coe and Magan give back to the Arvada community is through their nonprofit organization, The Tivis Project, which provides ongoing support and comfort to grieving families who have lost babies and infants through miscarriages, stillbirths, early infant losses, and sudden infant death syndrome. “We give a tote to the family that has different keepsakes for the baby that they've lost,” shared Magan. “It’s recognition for moms, dads, and siblings that have lost those family members. We also mail them cards and do random acts of kindness in honor of the babies.”

From creating a welcoming environment to hosting community events to giving back to the Arvada community, Coe and Magan show their local love in so many ways. “We want to see the development and growth of Arvada continue to be something positive,” said Magan. “Not forgetting where we came from but also welcoming the people who are new to Arvada.”
