Meet Katie and Jordan Kessler, the husband-and-wife duo behind The Carroll-Kessler Team, where real estate is more than a business; it’s a family tradition rooted in community connection. With deep ties to Arvada and a combined 42 years of experience, their philosophy revolves around a simple yet powerful idea: family.

Katie, a third-generation realtor, carries forward a proud family legacy. Her grandmother Rose Carroll and father Jim Carroll were educators before transitioning to real estate, a background that inspired their team’s slogan, “We Do More Homework.” Katie’s upbringing in Arvada and Jordan’s roots in neighboring Broomfield anchor their business in local expertise.

Their team’s familial bonds extend beyond blood ties. Jim and Kathy Carroll co-own their Keller Williams office in Olde Town Arvada. Longtime friend and team member TJ Carvalho, who shares their core values, rounds out the group with his expertise as a licensed appraiser. Together, they operate a business where 98% of clients come through referrals, a testament to their trusted reputation.

The Kesslers are deeply invested in giving back to their community. Through initiatives like their annual Veterans Day Breakfast and food drives, they have made a tangible impact, collecting over 1,100 pounds of food and $850 in donations for Arvada’s Community Table last year alone. They also organize beloved events such as Easter egg hunts, Fourth of July parades, and Pictures with Santa, creating opportunities for neighbors to come together.

Their commitment extends to charitable giving, with a portion of every transaction supporting KW Cares and their own initiatives to assist those in need. Katie even incorporates philanthropy into her personal pursuits, often pairing her running races with meaningful fundraising efforts.

The Carroll-Kessler team goes beyond traditional real estate services to help homeowners maximize property value. “Staging is key,” explains Katie, who holds a Home Staging designation. Their team provides complimentary staging services, complete with a full warehouse of furnishings, to highlight a property’s best features. “Staged homes photograph better, attract more interest, and often sell faster and for higher offers,” she adds.

Jordan’s background in residential and commercial contracting further enhances their ability to guide homeowners on cost-effective updates. They even offer a concierge program to front the cost of improvements, ensuring sellers capture maximum equity. As Jordan notes, “Condition is crucial in today’s market, where buyers’ budgets are stretched thin by higher interest rates.”

For first-time buyers, The Carroll-Kessler Team serves as knowledgeable and honest guides. Drawing on their local expertise, they help clients identify neighborhoods and homes that best fit their needs and long-term goals. “We won’t let them buy a home just to buy a home. Our goal is to set them up for success and equity growth,” says Jordan.

“My father is one of the most positive people I’ve ever met,” Katie shares. “He taught me to keep a positive attitude and remain optimistic. The good days will always outweigh the bad in real estate.” Jordan echoes this sentiment: “My father-in-law gave me a book called The Honest Real Estate Agent. Watching how he grew his business taught me to approach every transaction with integrity and always do the right thing.”
