Off to the NFL

6 foot 6 inch, 287-pound Defensive Linemen Zion Logue was drafted from the University of Georgia Bulldogs to the Atlanta Falcons

Lebanon cheered loud again this year as Lebanon High School 2019 grad Zion Logue was drafted to the Atlanta Falcons for the 2024 NFL season. We were lucky to catch up with him right after he received the news for a Q&A.

Being born and raised on East Market and West Adams, how did growing up here affect your drive to succeed?

I really appreciate the love and support from the city of Lebanon as well as the middle Tennessee area and I wouldn’t be here without you guys! Honestly growing up in Lebanon created my drive to go on and do great things. There were so many people who I saw have the opportunity and didn’t capitalize on it, so I definitely want to take advantage of all my opportunities! Both sides of my family played a very pivotal role in my life raising me to be the man the world sees today!

What is a motto/quote you live by?

One specific scripture that I live by is Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.”

Another motto that I live by is “I asked & He Delivered!”

Can you tell us a little about how the draft works?

The draft is a crazy three day event with over 250 picks through seven rounds and teams go find the best college prospects to add to their rosters for the next season!

Did you have a draft goal? How do you feel about being drafted to the Falcons?

You know every kid hopes and dreams to be picked in the first two days of the draft but honestly I was just happy to see the Falcons call me, I didn’t care what pick it was!

As you grow in your career, do you have any giveback programs or organizations you plan to support or give time to?

Yes! This past May I did my first ever Le96ndary Foundation football camp, as well as a Christmas Giveback to a family who wasn’t fortunate. Those are two things that I definitely want to continue on throughout my career

Lastly, when you're back in Lebanon, where's your favorite place to stop and eat?

My favorite restaurants are Speedy Burrito and Just Fish when I come home!
