There are certain things that just belong at a Minnesota summer event: sunscreen, lawn chairs, kids in jerseys, someone asking where the bathrooms are, and at least one person wondering if dinner can be cold, colorful, and covered in fresh fruit.
This summer, Nautical Bowls is answering that question on wheels.
The Maple Grove superfood bowl shop is expanding beyond its storefront with a new food truck, bringing colorful açaí and superfood bowls to festivals, sports tournaments, neighborhood gatherings, and community events across the area.
For owners Bryant Bohlig and Matt Meyer, the move is about more than growth. It is about meeting people where summer already happens and creating a fresh, energetic food experience that feels right at home.
Known for its bright tropical atmosphere and nutrient-packed menu, Nautical Bowls specializes in açaí and superfood bowls that are plant-based, gluten-free, dairy-free, and made with organic ingredients.
“Our brand is centered around a healthy, active lifestyle,” says Bryant. “We provide a delicious, nutritious option for people who want something that fuels them without slowing them down. It’s filling, energizing, and a fun new experience, especially for people trying an açaí bowl for the first time.”
The Maple Grove location has become a go-to stop for health-conscious families, athletes, and busy professionals looking for a quick meal that still feels fresh and satisfying. Signature creations like the Nauti Bowl and Paddle Bowl combine fruit bases with granola, fresh fruit, nut butters, and superfood toppings.
Now, with the food truck, that same experience can show up where people are already gathering.
“The food truck is a great way to reach new customers,” says Bryant. “A lot of people we meet at events have never tried Nautical Bowls before, so it becomes both a first impression and a marketing opportunity for our brand. It also gives us a chance to introduce refreshing menu items that are perfect for summer.”
The mobile concept fits a season filled with concerts, baseball games, lake days, festivals, and families looking for something light, colorful, and energizing along the way.
“One of the best parts about Nautical Bowls is our team,” says Bryant. “Whether it’s a signature bowl or build-your-own option, we make sure everyone leaves with something they love.”
Whether customers visit the Maple Grove storefront or catch the truck at a summer event, Nautical Bowls hopes to bring a little sunshine and a delicious bowl wherever summer takes them.
