Meet Betty Lou

McDonald’s hosted a book launch event for Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities' (ARMHC) Betty Lou Tours America children’s story. Celebrating the special story about Betty Lou, ARMHC’s certified therapy dog, the event featured an author signing from Matthew Hawk Eldridge, engagement from Betty Lou and appearances from McDonald’s owner/operators DJ and Rachel Mitchell.

All proceeds raised from the book will benefit ARMHC.

To support local families in need, Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities also provides children with the opportunity to receive immunizations, ear, eye and dental screenings, asthma care and sports physicals in ARMHC’s Care Mobile.

The mission of Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities is to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. For 45 years, Atlanta RMHC has kept families with sick children close to each other and the medical care their child needs. Through its three core programs, the Ronald McDonald House®, the Ronald McDonald Family Room® and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®, Atlanta RMHC has served nearly 80,000 families since 1979.

Atlanta RMHC’s programs not only provide access to quality health care; they also enable family-centered care, ensuring families are fully supported and actively involved in their children’s care.
