One Flag, Indivisible

Sponsor a flag as a sign of your unity with the support for our Nation

With your help, Veterans from across Wilson County will come together and establish a Field of Flags that celebrates the very essence of this Nation, the sentiment of Unity.

The event will take place on the Wilson County Fairground in front of the Farm Bureau Expo Center from June 29- July 4th as part of the Independence Day Celebration.

Why a Field of Flags? There is no symbol of our Nation more unifying than our national colors whether in peace, crisis, or time of war. It is a symbolic rallying point for our resolve to be free and defend our way of life. Each flag is sponsored by the members of our community whether they be an individual, a business, or a civic organization. Some are dedicated in devotion to our country, to our military and first responders, or to a particular loved one who is serving or has served.

Why Veterans? More than any other group of citizens, Veterans understand the power of unity and the vital importance of a Nation united by purpose. That’s why the Field of Flags event is a coordinated effort by Veteran groups across Wilson County including: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5015, the Vietnam Veterans Association 1004, Associates of the Vietnam Veterans, and the American Legion Post 15. Most importantly, 100% of the proceeds go to supporting local Veterans inside Wilson County – our family!

How Do You Help? Stand with us! Sponsor a flag to be placed in the field as a visible sign of your own unity of support for our Nation or someone who has served these United States. Personalize your flag with a military dog tag in recognition of their specific selfless service and take it home with you as a lasting memory when this year’s Field of
