As we count our blessings and give thanks this November, we want to recognize a few of the many well-deserving organizations around Chamblee that are here year-round offering support and helping members in the community in tangible ways.
This year we’re featuring LifeLine Animal Project, Elaine Clark Center, and the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation. These organizations provide much needed services to many in our community and beyond, and we want to say thank you to them and to all the organizations in our community that give back and make our community a better place to live.
LifeLine Animal Project
LifeLine is a nationally recognized innovator and pioneer in the animal welfare field. As the largest in Georgia, LifeLine cares for 40,000 animals each year and is proud to be the first organization to achieve no-kill levels in DeKalb and Fulton County Shelters. LifeLine celebrated 20 years of providing care for pets in 2022!

Elaine Clark Center
The Elaine Clark Center’s mission is to enable children of all abilities to become confident and contributing citizens through an innovative model of education, therapeutic play, and experimental opportunities.
The center provides comprehensive services, from Inclusive Child Development to ECC Life, offering a continuum of care from infancy to adulthood so families can access services over the years. Currently, 125 students benefit from the core services provided by Elaine Clark Center.

Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation
Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation’s mission is to provide vision services through education, detection, prevention, and treatment. Through collaborative partnerships, they enable greater independence and greater quality of life for those in financial need.
The foundation is backed by the continued support of the Lions Club and together they set the standard for service and equal access to vision care for Georgians in need.
