Those who "just want to feel better" in their skin seek the care advice of Becca Daly-Bundy, MSN, FNP-C, owner of Balanced Beauty Medical Aesthetics.
"Most people are overwhelmed by products, options, or the fact they’ve never really had a skin care routine that works for them. That’s where we come in. We simplify, personalize and guide clients through a plan that fits their goals and lifestyle," she explains.
As a certified family nurse practitioner with 12-plus years of nursing experience, Becca received her bachelor’s degree from Kettering College and her master's degree in nursing from University of Indianapolis. She previously worked as a registered nurse for Community Health Network prior to being a nurse practitioner. Her medical background brings a clinical, safety-first lens to aesthetic medicine.
Becca's customized plan is referenced as the Balanced Blueprint. She says she and clients discuss and document factors affecting individual skin care. Those elements may include makeup, cleansing routines, hydration, vitamins, genetics, exercise, sleep patterns, stress, overall health and hormonal fluctuations, as well as external factors such diet, lifestyle, sun exposure, pollutants and environment.
"Aging changes your skin. Hormones, stress, lifestyle all play a role. My job is to walk with you through those changes. We’ll create a plan that makes sense for your skin now, not just what worked five years ago," she states.
Next, a budget and treatment options are finalized in a six-month plan. "Clients pick and choose options most comfortable for them. This isn’t a one-time fix. Each blueprint's thoughtfully designed with clinical treatments that work deep within skin to restore, refine and reveal the most radiant complexions. I want them to love their new routines because they do see results," she says.
"My goal is for clients to look like themselves, just a more refreshed version."
Her Balanced Blueprint takes into account various skin care lifestyles, such as people who need simple and quick routines; those used to more advance maintenance that may include exfoliation, face masks, eye creams or serums; and those who have more time to invest into routines, such as with professional, customized treatments.
She provides injectable and non-injectable treatments, including microneedling and Perfect Derma Peels. She says The Perfect Derma Peel uses a safe, effective blend of acids and antioxidants to improve skin tone, texture, hyperpigmentation, acne and sun damage, with minimal downtime and positive results starting after one week.
Becca can apply various custom treatments, such as Aerolase Neo Elite Laser for acne, hair removal, melasma to scars and skin rejuvenation. She also provides personalized facials for all skin types, ones safe for pregnancy, breastfeeding and individuals undergoing chemotherapy or radiation.
With aging, the outer layer of the skin gets thinner, paler and less stretchy. Older adults may produce less sweat and oil from the glands in their skin. Age-related changes, such as a loss of elastin and collagen cause the skin to look older, develop wrinkles and be more fragile.
Becca says she assists others with feeling more like themselves again. "We walk that journey with clients, and in full support, so they can feel confident and empowered."
She states for those looking to address skin texture and tone, laser treatments are a powerful solution that works beyond the surface of the skin right away to deliver faster, visible results.
"We at Balanced Beauty believe when done with intention, education and balance, aesthetic treatments don’t change who someone is — they simply reveal a person's best version," she assures.
As an appointment-only office, Becca's med is located in Greenwood at 1150 S. State Road 135.
