A Tulsa Pilates studio shaped by Lauren’s heart for movement, teaching, and genuine community.

Lauren Alonso, a New Jersey native, began her lifelong journey into Pilates in 2016, training under Balanced Body Master Instructors in the classical mat repertoire. She was initially intrigued by the unique combination of stretching and strengthening that Pilates offered. After graduating with her Balanced Body Pilates certification in 2019, Lauren moved to Tulsa, where she expanded into teaching reformer classes. However, when Balance Pilates of Tulsa, where Lauren was teaching, closed, she saw an unexpected opportunity to bring her long-envisioned studio to life. Drawing from her extensive dance background and genuine passion for teaching, she opened Pilates By Lauren—a warm, inviting space designed for clients who value personalized attention, expert instruction, and lasting results.

Lauren designed her studio with six Reformers to cultivate an intimate environment that lends itself to focused guidance for her clients in every session. The space is calm, supportive, and welcoming, fostering a community where clients invest in one another, celebrate milestones together, support one another’s families, and create genuine friendships. 

Lauren’s dedication to her craft has extended her expertise beyond traditional Pilates training. One distinction is her FEET-NESS certification, a credential held by no other instructor in the state of Oklahoma. This advanced training focuses on the foundation of the body—the feet—to correct alignment, improve posture, and enhance overall movement patterns. Clients feel the difference immediately, often surprised by how small adjustments can unlock strength, relieve discomfort, and improve mobility. She also teaches barre, a dynamic, ballet-inspired workout that complements Pilates by building functional strength through precise, mindful movement.
