Happy hour is the best hour, especially with so many great options around Kansas City. Grab a friend and enjoy well-priced drinks and appetizers at some of the best restaurants in town. Cheers!

Leawood/Overland Park

Leawood has tons of great happy hour spots if you’re looking for an after work pick-me-up, an errand running pit stop, or if you’re like me—just an excuse for delicious sangria and zucca chips at North Italia! North, of course, tops my list of happy hour spots but not far behind is RA Sushi, La Bodega, and Redrock Canyon Grill.

RA Sushi’s happy hour goes until 7 p.m. and has tons of rolls, appetizers and drink options. La Bodega is always a hit with its warm and inviting atmosphere and popular tapas. If you’re looking for well-crafted cocktails, Redrock Canyon Grill has nine happy hour cocktails for only $6 each!

Prairie Village/Waldo

Along with its charming and inviting neighborhoods, the Prairie Village and Waldo ares have an assortment of charming and inviting restaurants with the most enjoyable happy hours around!

Tavern in the Village is always popular during happy hour. With the $2.50 beers and $5 wines, you’ll want to get there early to snag a table in the bar. Good news though—if you can’t make it by 6 p.m. then they also offer a reverse happy hour that starts at 8:30 p.m.! Urban Table has a “social hour” every day of the week which means you can get their delicious bruschetta and Urban Mule any day you want! Summit Grill in Waldo is also a win especially when you can get a slider for less than $2!

Country Club Plaza

Chances are if you’re a happy hour lover like me, you’ve dabbled in a few at the Country Club Plaza. While you can’t go wrong with any of them, my personal favorites are the ones that you get the most bang for your buck!

Jax Fish House tops the list with $1.50 oysters and the best steamed mussels in town. Eddie V’s and McCormick and Schmick’s are other favorites for my fellow seafood lovers with happy hour deals you seriously cannot pass up. Gram & Dun is always a crowd favorite especially if you can snag a table outside by the firepits.

Downtown KC

Downtown happy hour always seems to turn into happy hours which may be why it’s my personal favorite. From Crossroads, to Power and Light, to the Rivermarket there are so many unique and interesting places to try.

Nara has awesome weekly specials as well as a great happy hour menu. Stop in and enjoy a $5 Cane martini and sushi roll. Looking for a Kansas City classic? Grab a spot at the historic bar at The Majestic for great drink specials and the best bartenders. On a nice day, The Jacobson patio or Crossroads Hotel rooftop is where you want to be!
