Building Empires and Packing Lunches: These Women Do It All.

The morning rush is a familiar dance—packing lunches and double-checking backpacks before the day begins. Beyond the school drop-offs and bedtime stories, these mothers also lay the foundations for their businesses. Balancing both worlds is no easy feat. It’s a challenge embraced with heart.

For Krystle, owner of 30 Minute Hit Odessa, motherhood and entrepreneurship are intertwined—both require resilience. She isn’t just building a business; she’s setting an example for her children.

“Being a mom has pushed me outside of my comfort zone in ways I never expected,” she shared. “I want to show my kids that you can seize new opportunities without fear.”

She remains focused on what’s most important to her through every sacrifice. “I want my children to see that hard work and perseverance pay off. If you believe in something, commit to it wholeheartedly and show up for yourself."

For Rose Purvee, founder of Sunflower Socials, a lesson learned is setting boundaries and being intentional with time. “I give my clients set hours, and when I’m with my kids, I’m fully with them,” she shared. “I don’t answer calls or scroll through my phone. That way, I don’t feel guilty—I know I’m showing up for my family and business.”

Her morning starts with affirmations with her boys on the way to school before diving into a packed schedule with content creation and client meetings. It’s not about doing it all but being present for what matters most.

For Jennifer Ott, founder of the First Lady of Realty, balancing motherhood and business is about defining priorities. After serving in the military and working in the hospitality industry, she transitioned into real estate because of its flexibility. This allowed her to be fully present for her family while still pursuing a fulfilling career.

She also homeschools her son, shifting from carpool lines to lesson plans. She’s learned the power of setting boundaries and asking for help. “You can’t do everything alone, and you don’t have to,” she says. “Speak up, delegate, and protect the time that matters most.”
